What’s Been Going On With Mayday Parade?

Mayday Parade just recently ended the Spring Fever Tour, alongside Pierce the Veil, All Time Low, and You Me at Six. Even though it has only been since 2011, it seems like forever since Mayday Parade has given us some new tunes to listen to. As they broke away from Fearless Records to produce their self-titled album in 2011, they are currently back with the help of the former record label to record their fourth studio album that is said to be released sometime this Fall and how exciting does that sound?

During a recent interview the band stated that the record will have some new features, saying it will cover on a few different areas that the band has never touched on before hinting that some songs might sound a bit country or folkish. Fearless Records have been the first record label Mayday Parade has ever signed with, so going back to what they know and who they know was the best choice they could make when it comes to working with a label again.

It is difficult to go out there and try with other labels when you have already created so much with the first, but Mayday Parade has a lot to thank Fearless for. In 2006 they independently produced their own EP, Tales Told By Dead Friends which sold over 50,000 copies and with the help of Fearless producing their first studio album they made their way right onto the Billboard charts and even tripled their numbers with this one.

MD haven’t got any tour dates announced just yet, but be sure to keep an eye out for some dates around the around very soon. The band is also set to release a new single hoping for it to be finished by the end of summer so be on the lookout!
